About Bicycles against poverty
- BAP is an organization created in 2008 by two Bucknell University students to tackle poverty in Ugandan villages by supplying bicycles to villagers made possible through microfinance loans to local manufacturers.
- Bicycles provide villagers with easier access to vital necessities like water, markets, healthcare facilities, schools, and other hard-to-reach places.
- BAP currently operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based out of New York City.
